Train Station lockers in Paris

Will be arriving at Paris Est from Munich the day before flying back to the States. We have a hotel that night at CDG. I don't want to train to the hotel to store our two bags then back to the city for the remainder of the day so I would like to store our bags in a train station.

  1. Is there a train to CDG from Paris Est (or just Paris Nord- is that right?)
  2. What should I know about locker storage at either train station?

Thank you in advance!

Paris Nord has lockers (with a security check) and is the place to catch the RER to CDG. Paris Est has lockers but is not on the RER line that serves the airport. At some point, you must walk between the two stations (about 2 blocks and 10 minutes). Metro runs to/from Magenta station, not exactly inside Gare du Nord.

Magenta station is on RER Line E, not the one that serves CDG. Line B to CDG stops at Gare du Nord.

Hi,

The bottom floor at Gare de l'Est has the left luggage facilities; neither Nord nor Est has coin lockers. I believe Nord also has left luggage facilites where you check in the luggage, it's screened ( almost like at the airport), and you're given a ticket for pick up.

To amplify the first answer above, there are NO Métro lines which call at Magenta. Magenta, as it is currently utilised, is for the exclusive use of the RER, specifically the RER-E.

And to amplify all of the left luggage answers. There are no self service lockers in train stations anywhere in France for security reasons. Even if you put your own luggage in an assigned locker, it will have first involved security screening and that involves lines. There are times when it takes a few minutes in line to either deposit or retrieve luggage. Since you are stayng at CDG for the night then walking over to Nord with your luggage and leaving it there makes the most sense.

Leslie, Just walk with your luggage over to Gare du Nord when you arrive and leave your luggage there. Enjoy your day and then pick them up on your way to CDG which is a direct shot on RER B from Gare du Nord. I'd plan for an extra 30 minutes to retrieve the luggage. I have had zero minutes of wait time to pick up stored luggage and have also waited almost 20 minutes.

On the two occasions we have used Nord lockers we had to wait for one to free up, we had to wait almost 45 minutes once so plan accordingly.
