train ride question!!

Bonjour everyone!

I'm Aliz from Singapore and I got a question about purchasing train tickets.

I'm planning for my first ever trip to Europe, France. I'm going SOLO! It's also my first time EVER traveling solo anywhere
and I'm kinda mad my first trip will be so far away..

Anyway, I'm going there for the Hellfest Festival actually that's happening in June, at Clisson, Rue du Champ Louet.

Is there a train from CDG Airport straight to Clisson? (and back of course)

I tried searching but got confused as some sites state there is, and some doesn't.

Also are there any cheap backpackers hostel around Clisson that you guys recommend?

Merci!!

There are no direct trains. Minimally, you would have to change at Nantes. You could also have to change stations within Paris itself.

There is a railway station at Clisson, but no direct trains from CDG. You would have to change at Nantes. There are three direct trains per day from CDG to Nantes. If none of them is convenient for you, you would need to travel into central Paris to Gare Montparnasse and get a train from there.

You can book rail tickets in advance from www.loco2.com or www.capitainetrain.com. This will get you a significant discount if you book now, but ties you to a specific train. If your flight is delayed and you miss the train you will have to buy a new full-price ticket.

I see that Hellfest starts on 20th June. French rail tickets usually become available circa three months in advance, but there can be delays booking tickets for late June because of the half-yearly timetable change around the middle of the month. If no site will sell you tickets yet, just keep trying again every day until they do.
