Train or bus from Toulouse to Saint-Jean-de-Luz?

Hello!
Any advice about train vs. bus from Toulouse to Saint-Jean-de-Luz? Initially I was thinking about a bus because of the strike. But then I discovered there's a calendar for the strike days, and our travel day is not a strike day.

Has anyone had recent experience with regional trains during the strike? Is there anything we should be aware of? The prices are lower than I thought they might be - so that is a good thing.

I don't know that route, but worth checking whether the bus will stop conveniently near your accommodation, especially if you will have much luggage. I was considering bus instead of train from Bordeaux to Saintes and found that the only bus-stop in Saintes was on the opposite side of town, and much further from my accommodation than the train station.
