I'm a grandma arriving in Paris with three teenage grands want to leave Paris for Bayeaux (arrive CDG at 10:00am) on fri june 15
and return to Paris on June 17 (sunday) Our Paris hotel is close to Place de la Bastille Advice??????
I am not really sure what you are asking. Do you want to know how to reach Bayeux from CDG or are you asking about getting to your Paris hotel from St Lazare or something else?
When you get through immigration and get your luggage, proceed to the official taxi stand and get in line. Do not be tempted by shills offering you rides and skipping the taxi line. They will "take you for a ride". The set price for a taxi with 4 people is 50 EUR to Gare St Lazare. Go in and buy tickets to Bayeux for the next train. You may have to change trains at Caen.
Return on Sunday is a scheduled rail strike day. That does not mean all the trains will be cancelled, but service will be reduced, and you will have to check status the day before at www.sncf.com/en. Trains that run will be crowded, so be patient. At St Lazare, again, go to the official taxi line and take a cab to your hotel. Have the name and address written on a piece of paper to give to the driver. Cost should be in the 20 EUR range.
thank you all!
