train from Tours to Strasbourg

I checked online for the itinerary from tours to Strasbourg. It seems that you are on the train for 5 minutes. Do you switch trains at St. Pierre des Corps or is it just a stop. if you switch trains wouldn't it make sense to just pick up the train at St. Pierre des Corps? It's a little confusing.

It is just a little connector from Tours center. Since St Pierre des Corps is a suburb, if it is more convenient, just go to St Pierre des Corps and get the TGV there.
