Train from Strasbourg to Vaihingen/enz station in Germany

We will be traveling from Strasbourg to Germany next Friday, August 10. We are new at the Europe rail system. Is it best to ask for assistance at our hotel or the train station?

Looking for best train route from Strasbourg to the vaihingen/enz (one stop before Stuttgart). Thank you!

If you're ready to select a particular departure time now, you can buy tickets through the Deutsche Bahn link at Looking Up Train Schedules and Routes Online. They sell the tickets that only require one connection (varies between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe), departing about 8:30, 9:10, 12:45, and 13:55, and those offer a small discount if booked now. You also can buy tickets in the station and ask for assistance there, but would have to allow time for possible ticket-buying lines. Most train stations are pretty easy to navigate; you can see a station map for Strasbourg.

What assistance do you need? Tickets? Times? Carrying your luggage?

Tickets, times and general German train information you can get in buckets from the experts here - Russ, Lee, Sarah, and a few others.

Carrying the bags for you, not so much.

Use the DB train website or app (good app to have on the phone during the journey to).

By the way, when you are looking it up put the river name or other qualifier in parenthesis rather than after a slash. Vaihingen(Enz)

You will find it easier.

Also be careful if you are asking people for directions at Stuttgart station. There is a suburb of Stuttgart called simply Vaihingen that is much closer to the city but in the opposite direction. Make sure you ask for Vaihingen an der Enz.
