I know there have been a few comments about selecting the appropriate train from Paris to Normandy. It’s been suggested to use the SNCF app. What train station in Paris do we use? What destination point do we use for Normandy?
Thank you!

Where in Normandy do you want to end up?
On our visit to the D-Day sites, we traveled from Gare St. Lazare to Caen where we rented a car. You can also travel from Gare St. Lazare to Bayeux for that area.
We are staying in Bayeux.
If you are going to or around Bayeux, take a train from Gare Saint-Lazare. No need for advance tickets as they never sell out. You can take a train from there to Bayeux itself, or to Caen from where it is easy to rent a car.
If you are staying in Bayeux, then that is the destination you use on the SNCF website or app. Just use Paris as your departure city. The results will show all trains leaving on the day you select. Results will also specify which train station you need. In this case Gare St. Lazare.
