Train from Paris to Colmar; Colmar to Bacharach

You need to cost each trip using the website of the company running the trains. www.bahn.de (which is what I assume you mean by "the German site") will give prices within, to or from Germany. voyages-sncf.com will do the same for France. The SNCF site is not as easy to use as the DB site.
Tickets are not usually sold more than 3 months in advance, so you need to pick a day 2-3 months in advance to get a feeling for the prices. I did some checks for a date in mid-February:

• SNCF is quoting Paris - Colmar starting from €25.
• SNCF is quoting Colmar - Strasbourg from €10.90, plus DB is quoting Strasbourg - Bacharach for between €29 and €67, depending on which train you choose.
• There is a third-party ticket site which is easier to ue than SNCF: https://www.capitainetrain.com/ They are quoting between €38,30 and €78.50 Colmar to Bacharach.

I would also suggest that you use the Capitaine Train website that was suggested in the first reply. They are very easy to deal with.

However, for travel in September 2015 there's no need to buy tickets this early (they may not even be available yet?).
