Train from Paris to Bordeaux May 27th

I seem to need much more hand-holding from forum posters than I am used to needing. We have plans to head from Paris to Bordeaux on Saturday, May 27th, returning to Chartres on Jun 3rd. I’ve been able to book the journey from Bordeaux to Chartres on the SNCF website. However, when I try to book the journey from Paris to Bordeaux, I am getting only a few options that require between 6-9 hrs. I’ve put the same itinerary in Trainline with the same results.

One message I get on SNCF is that they don’t know their schedule that far out. Is this usual or is there some event going on in Bordeaux that I missed? If we changed to May 26th, we could get a reasonable itinerary. It just threw me that I could book for June 3rd but not May 27th.

There appears to be planned maintenance that is impacting the train schedules on 27 May. When I search for Paris-Bordeaux trains for that day on the (French version* of) the SNCF Connect site, there are three different planned works messages, the most relevant one of which appears to be:

Attention Info travaux INTERCITÉS Ligne Marseille Toulouse Bordeaux

i.e. something like:

Attention: Work on Intercités trains on the Marseille-Toulouse-Bordeaux line

Due to major maintenance and track renewal work between Bordeaux and Toulouse, some trains have been modified and adapted in relation to their usual schedule or service. Other trains have not yet been put on sale, we invite you to repeat your search at a later time.

This warning doesn't show up if you look for trains on 26 May, nor on 3 June. (There are also two other planned works warnings, but this one seems to be the most relevant). Presumably they don't want to load all the trains in the schedule until they have finalized the exact works schedule for this date.

*These warnings don't seem to show up on the English site, only the French site
