Can anyone give me specifics as whether there is a train from Gare St lazare in paris to Auvers sur oise? I am getting so much conflicting information (some say yes, others no). I was unable to pull the schedule on Transilien, I have asked them the question (the web site) but no answer as of yet. I am going july 11, 2015 and returning the next day july 12, 2015.

there is a direct train on weekends -- we took it and I sort of recall it left about 9 am and returned about 6 -- but obviously check what it is now. during the week you can go by train but it involves changing trains and takes a lot longer -- e.g. about half an hour versus a bit over an hour. it is a wonderful day trip from Paris -- worth doing either way.

These are actually on the Transilien network. Take a "J" train from St Lazare to Pontoise, then change to an "H" train direction Persan Beaumont/Creil to Auvers-sur-Oise.

The "J" trains run about 2/hour, but the "H" trains run hourly in the morning. There are also more frequent connections using buses.
