Train from CDG airport to Reims

Arriving CDG airport on a Friday in September with final destination Reims. I’m allowing 3 hours for baggage, customs. I would like to book a train ticket in advance should I buy through Rail Europe or Trainline? Ideally I would like to book transportation to my hotel in Reims from Champagne-Ardennes TGV station any recommendations?

You can buy the ticket that includes a local connecting train from Champagne-Ardennes to Reims city center. If you buy the ticket in advance, you take some risk if you flight is severely delayed. Keep an eye on the cancellation conditions of the train ticket.

Between the 2, I'd go with Trainline.

I did the same trip last year. My plane landed at about 7:30am and I was at the CDG train station at about 9:00am. There was a train at about 9:30am but I had bought the ticket for a train around 11;00am so I had to wait for a couple of hours. I bought the ticket with Omio. I don’t know if the CDG to Reims train sells out, if it doesn’t, I would buy the ticket once you arrive, even if it cost a little more. Waiting around wasn’t fun after the overnight flight.

You can book your train on trainline or on sncf-connect (official site of SNCF). It's a TGV so, the sooner you book, the cheaper you pay. And the train can eventually become full.
At Champagne Ardennes TGV, there are bus or taxis.

At Champagne Ardennes TGV, there's also the tram to central Reims. So you'll never be stranded even if there are no cabs and you miss the local train connection.

Uber operates in Reims; we took an Uber to the TGV station from downtown Reims in January of 2026.
