Train from Bayeux to Caen; Rouen; Giverney and CDG

Will be in Bayeux in August. Want to leave there mid-morning, travel to Rouen, check into my hotel and spend a few hours walking around Rouen. I would spend the night in Rouen, leave Rouen the next day and go to Giverney.

Overnight in Giverney; do a bit of sightseeing and then to CDG for a flight.
Stay close to CDG one night and fly out the following morning.
I will rely on public transit. Will not have a car.
Do the train and or bus system between these towns run fairly regularly (i.e. hourly or every two hours) and if so, what is the website so I can check? Should I get tickets in advance or just show up at the train station and purchase them?
Do you see any glaring problems with my overall plan?
Thanks
Joan

Some trains on your routes are TERs and some are Intercites. There is no financial advantage to buying TER tickets ahead of time. You'll see at the website in post 1 whether there are different tickets prices for a given trip. It will say something like "best price" or "from" above the price. If there is a train with those notations above the price, it is not a TER and there is the possibility that the lower priced category will be gone by your travel date. So basically, no advantage to buying TER tickets early and possible savings for buying tickets on Intercites trains.
From Vernon to CDG, timewise you will be better off taking a train to Gare St. Lazare and then going to Gare du Nord to catch the RER B to the airport or taking a taxi from Gare St. Lazare. There are no direct trains between CDG and Normandy so you will have to make two changes and the trip will take around five hours as opposed to less than three.
