Train from AIX to Nice

We have train booked tickets on a TGV train from Aix en Provence to Nice. We now realize that the TGV station is approx. 10 miles outside of Aix Central and not from the Gare d'Aix in the center of town. We have researched and find buses and walking combinations to get us to the TGV station. It looks complicated and reliant on timing to put together. To anyone who has done this, are we just better off taking a taxi? The nk you in advance!

It depends on how far your hotel is from the bus station, and maybe if it's raining.
We were a pleasant, flat, 15 minute walk from the bus station, so did that.
A taxi is fine too if you prefer.
