I am planning a trip to France in September/October and am going to start booking TGV tickets at the end of May. My question is about booking tickets between Aix-en-Provence and Arles in advance. It looks like I can take either TER or bus from Aix to Marseille, and then TER from Marseille to Arles. Do you think it's necessary to book these in advance? Or can we get tickets that day and stay flexible with what time we leave Aix in the afternoon? I realize that whichever option we choose it will take around 2 hours to get between the two towns.
