Anybody have suggestions for a good place for us to stay close to CDG? Maybe other than Roissy? We are coming up from Dijon and trying to determine if we would be better driving to CDG and droppnig the car off there, or dropping it off in Dijon and taking the train up to Paris and spend the night. Thx in advance...Steve

Are you flying out the day after your night in Paris? There's an early morning TGV from Dijon right to CDG Terminal 2, takes about 2 hours. You could drop the car in Dijon, take that train, and spend the night at one of the airport hotels (we stayed at the Ibis, adequate but simple). The RER would take you into Paris for the day. Or, if your flight leaves after about noon, you could just take the train from Dijon to CDG and fly away. That would get you an extra day in Dijon or wherever. Assuming, of course, that you've already been to Paris.

Accor has several on the airport. Budget Ibis is the least expensive and has a shuttle to the terminal.
If I'd paid for a car that day, I'd keep using it instead of paying for a train as well - - especially since the run up from Dijon is only three hours, less to the city center maybe. The over-riding reason for keeping the car would be the opportunity to stop at Fountainebleau.
I've stayed out in Roissy ville a couple of times and it's not worth the trouble. You've got it right - - stay in the city or stay on the airport.
