Tours car rental advice

Can you please recommend a car rental agency at the Tours TGV station. We will be arriving there from CDG. Thank you!

If you mean St Pierre des Corps TGV station, there are Sixt and Europecar located in the building next to the station.

I picked up a Hertz car at St Pierre des Corps train Station last year.

Hi from Wisconsin,
I would search using Autoeurope. A Google search or phone them directly. Once upon a time I did all I could online and finally broke down and gave them a call. I was stunned at how well informed the person on the other end of the line was. He made suggestions about when, where, and how to rent to better suit my needs. Now either they have great resources that the guy used or he was born where I want to rent.

And by the way dropping the car off at a different location than where you picked it up (dead heading) is 'free' in France. I have never been charged for dead heading.

I generally like Hertz but a car is a car, shop the deals, pay attention to the small print and pick whichever one works best for you.

One bit of advice, when searching for a car use a pick up/drop off time either mid morning or mid afternoon. Most car rental agencies, even in bigger cities than Tours, take long lunches. Hours are often something like 7:30-11:30, then 2:00-6:00. If you try to search for a car to pick up/drop off at noon, you will see far fewer choices. Once you are there, you can negotiate pick up times with the agent. They've offered to keep the place open for me to pick up during their normal lunch time but I prefer not to interrupt their lunch if possible.

One other thing to consider is that many car rental offices outside of major airports are closed Sundays.
