Tourist scam: LeFrenchMobile review

Hi everyone, I'd like to warn you about a tourist trap in France, an English language mobile provider called LeFrenchMobile. Because they are the only mobile provider with services in English in France, their whole business model is designed to take advantage of foreigners who don't know their rights as consumers. I ordered the all-in-one SIM card which advertises 1hr of calls, 50 texts and 1GB of data for 30 euros. I don't use my cell phone much so it seemed it would last a while, but after a couple days my balance ran out, after only about 10 min of calls, 27 texts and 75MB of data. When I complained, they promised me 1GB of data for free but instead blocked my access to mobile data, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. They gave me the ring around when I called/emailed to complain. The whole conflict spoiled my trip to Paris, a vacation I have been dreaming of my whole life. I ended up disputing the charges on my visa and won, which I recommend for anyone who has been ripped off my LeFrenchMobile. Try out lebara or lycamobile as an alternative.

Even though you "don't use your cell phone much" you must physically turn off Cellular data roaming or it continues to chomp away at your balance.

I always have my data turned off unless I specifically need to use it. I googled something like three times.

Most US services like Tmobile now offer free Data now. I use to do the SIM card thing but now its just not worth it.
