Tour operators to go from Paris to Normandy.

A few weeks ago, i posted that i have 5 people going to Normandy in May. I got lots of responses for tour guides. We realize since we want to be picked up from the airport, etc that we are looking for a tour operator. We will arrive in Paris in early May. Since we will be coming from the airport, we want to have to be picked up in a spacious van or minibus ( for luggage) at the airport to take us to Bayeaux. Or is it better to take a train and have the van pick us up to take us to the train? We don’t know which is the better way to go. In addition to the WWII sites in Normandy including the cemetaries and D-Day beaches. In addition, we want to go to Mont St. Michel, Rouen, Honfleur, and Caen. We want to return to Paris to take the train to London.
Does anyone know tour operators?

I haven't looked at your previous post, so am just replying to this one.

Given the fact that you want to cover very specific locations in Normandy, I suspect you'd have to hire a private van & driver, which is likely going to be expensive. Were you planning to cover all those places in one day, or stay for several days in Bayeux?

It would help to have more information on your travel plans. For example.....

  • where are you travelling from?
  • how many days are you planning to stay in Normandy?
  • do you plan to stay in Bayeux?
  • were you planning to take one of the excellent D-Day tours in the area? If you hire a driver in Paris, it's not likely h/she will have the expertise or knowledge to provide D-Day tours.
  • are you planning to fly from London to Paris? If so, that's not the best method.

With a group of five, you might consider arranging a Shuttle van from the airport to Gare Saint-Lazare, and take the train to Bayeux.

Yeah, you're not making it clear whether you want a "car service" for "transfers", or you want a land-tour company to take charge of your every move, transfer, hotel, and admission for the N days (how many?) you want to spend in Normandy. Is budget a factor? Or do you want it all done for you, whatever the cost? And I think you don't want to do any more research, you want the company to select the best museums and war sites to visit.

Please confirm that the city of Paris is not part of this vacation itinerary. Are you flying home from London?

While many people ask about a one-day runout from Paris, your request is unusual for this board, which is predominantly "Free and Independent" travelers.

It is EXTREMELY RISKY to meet a PREPAID, expensive tour the morning of a Transatlantic Flight. What is your home city? If your plane is late, you could incur fantastic extra costs when it messes everything up.
