Tour guide options for Louvre?

Hi! We're taking our 15 year old and 11 year old to Paris in early October...looking for Louvre tour guide options/recs? Looking to not only skip the line, but see major exhibit pieces, spending about 2 hours or so. Kids aren't little but their attention span can be waning...we've done guided tours in Rome (Vatican) and it was a more enjoyable experience for all.

Thanks!

I first reserved a tour with paris-walks.com for 2020, then 2021 and we finally were able to have an excellent 2-1/2 hour tour in June. Our grandkids are 19, 18 and 11 so I wanted the tour to be from their perspective, time that they would enjoy, learn and appreciate the history and architecture as well. Iris was amazing but then I have been pleased with all the tours that I have been on with Paris Walks.
Hope you're able to arrange a tour for your time frame.

Darcy,
Was that Iris Amice, aka Spencer (and one other name)? She's the one who created the original Chocolate Walk for Paris Walks.
Her own website is A View of Paris. {[email protected]} She's excellent. You were fortunate.

Thank you! One follow-up question--do you know what typical or customary tip (tip range) would be for these tours?

I appreciate tour guides, but I worry a bit that 2 hours will be too long for kids, or that the guide is used to more sophisticated adults and it will be above their level. You might consider just using Rick Steves Audio Europe app (free) and download the Louvre tour ahead of time (and even review it to see if it would appeal to your kids). I've used it successfully with other first time visitors to the Louvre. I believe it takes about 45 minutes.

Bets--I'm sorry but actually I was never told her last name. She obviously knows Paris and the Louvre and she understands what keeps kids focused and even wanting more! All 3 of our grandkids thanked us profusely for their time at the Louvre so they obviously were never bored. The 2-1/2 hours flew by for them!
elkoshut--We didn't have a plan for what to tip or even if we would. Probably €20 would have been appropriate for so much time although I don't believe she was actually expecting a tip.

hey hey elkoshut
look at getyourguide.com/ paris
paris: louvre museum timed-entrance ticket. read it carefully, some you have an audio guide with or without cost, or a guide which cost more
louvre museum: 3-hour comprehensive tour with skip the line and a guide
there are a couple other tours you can check out for the louvre, up to you and the kids. you know best. kmow that skip the line does not mean skip security lines. you still have to do that and will have a wait, go early.
