We will be in Lyon for 3 days in early October and are looking for a tour guide specifically to show us around neighborhoods we would potentially like to live, as we are planning on moving there for a year in January. Any recommendations? Merci!

I believe Rick Steves guide Virginie Moré is still based in Lyon. My husband's cousins did a RS tour with her a few years ago and then hired her for a private tour in Lyon & beyond. She has also been highly recommended on this forum. https://virginiemoretravel.wordpress.com/about-virginie-more/

If you look for RS TV on Lyon you she her as Rick's guide.

I also recommend Virginie More. She was our guide for the Loire to the South of France tour. She was outstanding.
