I woke up in the middle of the night to buy my entry tickets for the Tour Eiffel, but each time I tried to buy the tickets with a credit care, it was refused. In the end, I was unable to purchase the tickets for my day of choice. We called our cards and informed them and I think we have cleared up the issue. I read that the 60 day tickets open up at 8:30am in France so I am trying to purchase them at 2:30am. Any tips to offer as I plan to try again in the middle of the night. Thanks much!
It's the worst kind of rickets.
They go on sale at 12:00 or maybe it was 12:01 am in France, not 8:30 am. Personal experience.
More tickets are released between now and then, so you can keep checking and trying; also, I had issues with my CapOne card, too, when buying ET tix as well as Veuve Clicquot tix (card worked fine IN country), but my USAA debit worked fine in the US, so you may have to try a different card.
A batch is usually released at 1 pm Paris time 7 days before the date you want. So keep trying, but definitely try again then.
I use 3rd party sites like Tiqets which are reliable and offer refunds. I bought mine via following link: https://theparisshortlist.com/places-to-visit-in-paris/
Easy and they somehow have inventory when other sites dont offer.
I had to change my phone to paris time, then i was able to get the tickets.
Fwiw we elect to climb the stairs. Cheaper and no line. Buy tickets on site and walk up. Can only get to the 2nd etage, but honestly that's enough for me.
