We hoped to have dinner a the Eiffel Tower. The window seats are sold out for the night of our visit. Are the “seats near the window” worth the experience? Thank you.
Gee, that's hard to answer.
First of all, which restaurant are you referring to? I've never eaten at Jules Verne restaurant. We've eaten both "near the window" and at the window at 58 Tour Eiffel and I think the window seats are clearly preferable. The view is better.
However, your choice is between seats near the window and not eating in the Eiffel Tower at all. Eating "near the window" is not dismal. You're still eating in the Eiffel Tower for goodness sake, in Paris, at night. It's going to be a matter of whether you let yourself enjoy that experience. I think it's worth it but I know it wouldn't be for everyone.
I hope this helps. I'd definitely do it if I were you - and book even earlier if you want to do it again on your next trip to Paris.
If you are dining at Jules Verne book early and ask for window seating. I don't think they charge extra for that. In any case you will be spending most of your kid's college tuition for a once in a lifetime experience, so why not go for it.
We booked at Tour Eiffel. Like you said, we are looking forward to all of the experience.
I'm still curious as to which restaurant at the tower you chose. Both 58 Tour Eiffel and Jules Verne are an experience; one just costs a lot more. Please come back and share your experience with us.
I definitely will! I appreciate all the input. We are going to the lesser expensive of the two, But we have booked window seats and are looking forward to a lovely evening.
Congratulations. I'm sure it will be lovely.
It will be lovely indeed and a moment you'll never forget!
