Tour de France - your new travel guide!

anyone else following the Tour?
I enjoy watching the scenic routes on TV for travel ideas through country sides not often covered by the travel books.
Downloading the Tour app also gives greater detail through its maps and profiles, with brief cultural descriptions of the staging cities and regions.
give it a spin!

I am totally addicted to the Tour and have been for years. At my age it has a lot to do with seeing places I’ve spent time, so I was up bright and early today to catch a glimpse of the Dordogne. It was hot when we were there the first time - but not like this week.

They’ve shortened tomorrow’s stage by some 30 km. Very sensible, but it’s still brutal.

We've watched the Tour for years. I haven't downloaded the app, but the web site includes a lot of info. We spent a month in France several years ago and it's always fun to watch them go through an area I've been to. Sure thought about the Tour when we walked along the Champs Elysses!

I’ve been watching every morning. This year there are more stages in areas we’ve been, so it’s even more meaningful. Watching them pedal up Montjuic was impressive as we know what that grade looks like. I don’t have the app, but the website gives good history of what’s in each area.

Did I hear the commentators say that next year the tour will start in Wales?

I've watched the Tour for years while riding along on my exercise bike. . . .

Looking forward to next year’s Tour debut, having spent time in Scotland, the Lake District, and Wales. Such beautiful scenery! I hope I’m not jinxing myself, but I plan to watch every minute.

In 2002 I started watching the Tour just to see some places in France in preparation for a trip. Now I've become a huge cycling fan!

Thanks for the tip, Chris! My wife and I follow the Tour and other cycling races very closely (it's our favorite sport), so we'll give the app a try.
