Toulouse restaurants recommendations 9/May

We are traveling with 2 other couples with varied food tastes and allergies.
My spouse and I only eat fish and cannot eat mushrooms or green beans due to allergies.
Others eat all flesh.
Any recommendations for restaurants along these constraints would be great.
Casual to Michelin rated. Will be in Toulouse for 2 nights.

Hello Stephanie,

You're out of luck, Toulouse isn't famous for its fish specialties :) but rather for cassoulet, foie gras and duck dishes.
(I live near Toulouse)

You will find dozens of decent restaurants in Toulouse, but since you are talking about MIchelin, let's start with the top:
Michel Sarran a double Michelin star.

I quote it to you but you have to book more than a month in advance and have the budget (up to €200 per person). If you can get a table I think you'll remember your meal for the rest of your life (and there's fish on the menu).

Fortunately there is more economical and very good too:
The restaurants of the Victor Hugo Market. (marché Victor Hugo)

The Victor Hugo market is one of the most famous in France for the quantity and quality of fresh produce that you can find there, it is located on the ground floor in a building in the center of Toulouse, on the 1st floor there are 4 or 5 restaurants that serve good food with fresh products that come from the floor below.

The market itself is a must visit

From the market, just take the stairs that go upstairs.
Do not take the elevators, they go to the car park which occupies the upper floors.

Also the atmosphere is very nice. You have to come early enough (for lunch, go there before 11:30 a.m. to book)

Here is a short video where you will see the market, the restaurants at 1'25" and at 2'30" Michel Sarran himself who praises the quality of the restaurants in the market.
(sorry, the comments are in French)

Bon appétit!

I agree with the suggestions of the Victor Hugo Market. It's amazing to wander around.

One suggestion---even though most people now speak a little English, I'd suggest learning how to say, or have it written on a card, that you are allergic to mushrooms and green beans (les champignons et les haricot verts.) This way, you can spot it on a menu or be able to tell your server.

Luckily, restaurants posts their menus outside so you can see their offering before you go in.

I just noticed that you specify May 9 in the title.

May 9 is a Monday this year, and regarding the Victor Hugo market. Market and restaurants are closed on Mondays.

And also to clarify that the restaurants are open for lunch only
