Toulouse for solo woman

Is Toulouse a safe/reasonable destination for a solo woman?

I've never been to Toulouse, but I'd like to visit some day. I'm a Francophile and listen to a podcast called Join us in France. I believe the author is based in Toulouse. She does tours in the area and also has audiotours for sale. Her website is https://joinusinfrance.com/ She lists quite a few destinations with travel suggestions. Toulouse is on her list.

I visited Toulouse for a few nights in 2021. I was on a Road Scholar tour but did some exploring on my own in the city center area. I felt perfectly safe even returning to the hotel at night on my own from dinner.

Unless you're going to hang out at 3am in some remote suburban neighborhoods like "Le Mirail", Toulouse, like the vast majority of cities in France, is a perfectly safe city for a solo woman.

It's a city with a lot of universities, so with lots of young students, and a Mediterranean lifestyle like in Spain, which is nearby.
The entire historic center is very lively until late at night.

I am not a woman but my wife and I had 2 brief stays in Toulouse. The areas we saw and our experiences seemed perfectly safe (and friendly). I am sure a city of it's size has some seedy parts and crime but we saw nothing of that.
