Toulouse and Montpellier restaurant recommendations

What kind of food are you looking for? There's everything from ethnic, tasty burgers (eaten with a knife and fork here), rotisseries, to Michelin stars.

I use the Michelin guide on line when we have a celebration. It has lists of good restaurants, not just starred gastronomic restaurants.

I wasn’t looking for specific type of food, just an experience (food, service, etc) that was good enough that someone remembered.

Not exactly a restaurant, but in Toulouse, a visit to the Victor Hugo market is fun and there are lots of stalls selling fresh, cooked food. There are tables out the back. Perhaps a lunch stop. And if not, loads of restaurants around the market.
