Worth visiting for 3 or 4 days in April? Anyone been to the Airbus factory?
An interesting university town. I visited for 3 days and really enjoyed it. I didn’t go out to Airbus. If you go, make sure to enjoy the cassoulet at Le Colombier.
Two full days for the basics in the historic center, and depending on your interests one or two more days are easily occupied without leaving Toulouse or by going to Albi or/and Carcassonne, both 1 hour away by train.
Less than 90 minutes by car, enough places to go to keep you busy for 2 weeks.
I have been to the Airbus factories very often for professional reasons, but never as a "visiting tourist"
These visits are only possible with Manatour:

You will only see a very small part of the factories but I think it is worth it for someone who is interested in aeronautics.
Otherwise, yes, it is really pink, at least in the city center (the buildings, not the people!)

Thanks for the info. I'd definitely see what I could with an Airbus tour! I appreciate the link, I hadn't got that far with the how to. Sounds like you are lucky to be there for other reasons!
Le Combier looks good!
I spent a week in Toulouse last August, and enjoyed it. There's a lot to see right there and in the area surrounding the city; certainly enough to keep you entertained for 3-4 days. I did the Airbus tour. It was okay, but I preferred the Musée aeroscopia which is very close by. The Musee has two Concorde, which I have an interest in. There are other aviation related displays, to include a nice series of panels in the park royal detailing highlights of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The history museum in intersting, and has a really different garden, which should be in full swing in April. If you have any interest in Impressionist paintings, you should definitely visit the Foundation Bemberg. There are also Roman ruins; an amphitheater (which was fenced off) and the Therme (or baths).
To see the city at its "pinkest" be on the Pont Neuf bridge just as the sun comes up on a clear day.
