Tips for storing a surfboard on Paris ?

Hi guys
Currently in Biscarosse, in south of France for surf, I will be in Paris for 3 day with my friend.
I’ll arrive in Gare Montparnasse on Monday and on thursday I'm taking a plane for Sidney in airport CDG, is that possible to store our surfboard directly in airport or is that possible to use a consigne in Paris ?
Thank you

With the state of emergency in Paris I guess it's could be difficult for me to store something in a Gare no ?

I heard about a company doing a mobile luggage storage in Paris.

Have you heard about something like that in Paris ?

No - this is a manned left luggage - not a locker. It is open even during these turbulent times.

I would phone and make sure a surf board is OK.

I doubt a surfboard would fit into a Gare du Nord locker. Check out Blue Marble which specializes in bike travelers; I would think their facilities would work better. No personal knowledge.

I called a mobile luggage storage in Paris, Eelway and an other locker citylocker

One of them said that he can store my surfboard & and I will taking back the surfboard directly in the airport and the other said that he can only store my luggage but i had to taking back my surfboard in the locker before going to the airport.

I guess the first solution is better no ?

Do you really want a stranger moving your special board?

Did all the people you spoke to understand about the size of the board, and about the fin(s)?

Hula hoops and surfboards are completely different. One is serious, one is for play and exercise.

Yes I guess, it's a surfboard not a cat

But yes if it gives me some freedom to move easily

If you don't have something planned in advance, stop in a TI. They should know where you can store it. Security has been weird on bigger items, but they should be okay with something lightweight, for it's size, and obviously not explosive.

I just discarded my last surfboard. I've sold or given away a number of boards over the years but I've litterally caried this one with me around the world since I had it custom made in the 70's. I moved into a condo last week and finally decided I couldn't hold onto it any longer. :-(

So, i used their service and as they said , they picked up my surfboard at gare Montparnasse when I was arrive from Biscarosse and they had dropped off my surfboard directly in the airport , close to my check-in

Has anyone else had experience with Eelway? I am considering using them while in Paris for one day because it would be convenient, but am hesitant to hand my bags over to strangers and hope to see them at CDG that night.

are you using them to move a surfboard, too?
