Recently (Mid-Sep 2026) arrived at CDG /T2 (from USA) WITHOUT checked bags. It took ~2hrs to get through immigration and very confusing walk to the Enterprise Rental car desk in T1. Hope this tip helps others:
- After going through immigration and exiting the terminal, follow the large 10 foot signs to RENTAL CARS/RER to Paris
-Continue straight following RENTAL CAR signs and GO PAST the RER train station
-All large signs for RENTAL CARS will stop, you may see a smaller sign with an arrow pointing down which we took literally and next to the sign is an elevator with a sign showing rental cars one level down. DO NOT TAKE THAT elevator down. It takes you to a rental car parking lot with no check-in desks. We weren't the only travelers wandering around the lower level looking for the check-ins. The group of lost travelers took the elevator back up to ground level, and a helpful airport assistant directed us to continue straight through the terminal to the rental checkins. SO:
-Continue straight (even though signs stopped) and you will shortly arrive at the rental car checkins. The cars are on the ground level parking lot not in a lower garage. You will get a ticket to get out of the ground level parking lot. Navigating from there was a piece of cake!
