Time from arriving CDG to Train out

My neices and I will be arriving at CDG at 6:55am and will be going to Amboise. Shall I book the 9:19am or 11:19am train? I would love to book the earlier train but want to make sure we have enough time. Please advise. Thank you Carolyn

If the train is leaving from CDG, the usual advice is to allow 3 hours. If the train is leaving from Paris, the advice is to allow 4 hours.

I'd take the 4-hour gap even if the train is leaving from CDG but I do not like to rush. You can always stop to have breakfast to pass the time.

there are more trains from downtown Paris than from CDG but in the end probably no faster since it will take an hour or more to get into Paris and to the station on RER.

Is there a need to buy the ticket in advance? Looking at the online prices they seem similar for travel tomorrow and in 2 months from CDG. If you buy the ticket at CDG you may have to wait in line but maybe others can opine on how long the line is at 7am. By not buying in advance you get on the next train without having to predict in advance which it might be.
