I am trying to get advance tickets to the Chagall museum in Nice but the museum website does not appear to be working. Does anyone have an ideas for a way to make reservations or get advance tickets?
Thanks

FWIW we had no wait at all both times we visited this museum.
I visited the museum in April and there was no line to get in. It's a small (yet excellent) place so most folks are in and out fairly quickly.
When I visited recently there was absolutely no queue. There wasn't a large number inside visiting either.
I don't see any advantage to advance purchase there.
We went to the museum yesterday, and there was no problem walking right in and purchasing tickets. We thoroughly enjoyed the audio tour and almost missed the movie which is in a lovely auditorium. It was quite restful to sit near Chagall's windows and watch him work.
If you're in Nice the first Sunday of the month, entry to all the National Museums, including the Chagall Museum is free. Even when the entrance is free, there were no lines to get in.
We walked straight in, too. Absolutely LOVE the Chagall museum. Another interesting bit of info I learned is that the museum was designed by Marc Chagall.
We had a weird experience at this museum years ago. A class trip of young French school children was visiting and the kids absolutely ran amuck -- I have never seen worse behaved children anywhere. The guards were frantically shooing kids away from paintings as they careened about the galleries and finally herded them into the chapel where they proceeded to literally run and bounce off walls including that near the stained glass windows and one pounded on the piano hand painted by Chagall. The teacher handed out crayons and some kids started throwing them. (I had retreated to the Chapel to sit down to rest after a long walk and to get away from the kids who were running through the museum.) Generally French kids are reasonably well behaved -- this was like some horror movie but I always think of it when people complain about how badly behaved American children are.
Awful story about the French schoolchildren but I just have to say that you are going to LOVE this experience - seeing copies of Chagall's paintings on paper is nothing like seeing these huge canvases, paint strokes, and colors in the flesh!! This museum is really at the top of my very favorites. Have a great time!!
We also loved this museum and there is also a good Matisse Museum not far away. We took the bus from downtown up to the Matisse Museum and then strolled down through lovely residential areas to the Chagall Museum.
