Should we buy tickets ahead of time for Orsay in Paris?

Reservations for the Orsay become mandatory on 10 March:

Yes you should!
As long as I have been visiting Paris (decades) this is a museum that I always get tickets ahead for -- it has always had long lines. I used to be able to buy them at the newsstand out front and could just walk in -- now post CoVID when everyone has timed tickets or passes, even the timed ticket line will not be short but you will be admitted with the group holding tickets at that time, so are unlikely to wait more than half an hour. Never show up at the Orsay without a ticket.
