Making a bucket list trip to Paris in September . One item that is on the agenda is visiting Giverny. I've read conflicting things about the tickets . We plan on buying ahead of time online. When you buy them online are they good for anytime or are they date specific.?
They are sold for a specific day and are not sold on line the day you want to go so you do need to get them and print them in advance. You use the group entrance avoiding the long ticket line.
September isn’t peak season. I went mid June last year and didn’t buy tickets in advance. I got there 30 minutes before the ticket office opened and we were first in the queue, although it wasn’t very long, in contrast to the hoardes trying to enter via the group ticket entrance. The poppies will probably be over by September, as they were in prime condition in June.
When we went in May a decade ago, the line to buy tickets was over an hour long. These things are hard to predict.
