Do you need tickets to take the stairs to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower? It seems like you can't order them on line. Is that true? Can you take stairs to the top of the Eiffel Tower?

Yes, you do need tickets to go up the stairs to the 2nd floor. ( Stairs only go up to the 2nd floor, but you can buy tickets to go to the summit on the 2nd floor.
Are you sure you're ready to go up 704 stairs?
Here is the official website for The Eiffel Tower. Make sure to order your tickets 3 months in advance ( in case you want to take the elevators instead of the stairs!)

You can buy stair tickets when you get there; that line is usually quite manageable. You can buy tickets to the summit on the second floor.
