Booked two tickets Bordeaux Irun route. There wad no option for e tickets so opted for postal delivery.tickets have not reached in 21 days. All correspondence with SNCF evokes a formatted reply that I should wait for some more time.As day of travel approaches I am gettting nervous.Any idea how to go about it
Call them and ask to change your delivery point to "Pick Up in SNCF station in France". Ask for an email confirmation. Or take any correspondence with you and explain that the tickets did not arrive - this might work but prepare for long lines at customer service. In the future, never select postal delivery - too much can go wrong.
Agree with Zoe. Arrange to pick up your tickets in France. You can pick them up at any staffed SNCF train station. On the SNCF website, it says to bring with you the same credit card you used to purchase the ticket. It's simply used for ID by the agent as your USA magnetic credit card won't work in the ticket kiosks.
Thanks a lot.will do accly
Good advice above. An issue I discovered the past few days is that placing tickets into the cart for a unified purchase didn't work. Larry advised to purchase each ticket and avoid the cart. Presto! Be alert that some data fields remain with the prior information and some fields not....pay attention. Also, there are SNCF applications for smartphones that may or may not be worthwhile; I am testing now. Finally, purchasing via the SNCF website saved a significant amount of money versus Rail Europe.
