Greetings,
We will be using St. Antonin as our home base April 8th - April 11th.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on where we should go and do?

Thank you,

At 10 km there is the medieval village of Penne,
Then 10 km further the medieval city of Bruniquel, another fortified village with a castle. This village ranked among the most beautiful in France.

If you continue the D964 road towards the south, about 10 km after Bruniquel there is Puycelsi another fortified village which is also classified as one of the most beautiful in France.

And finally go to the village of Cordes sur Ciel (still medieval fortifications!).

In all these places there are bar and restaurants where you can have a drink and eat.

Leave early in the morning, you will have a great day. The whole circuit is about 100km

Hi Dean,
Dunno whether you'll be driving or not, but if so, the remote village of Belcastel is roughly an hour NE. It offers an excellent 2-fer of outstanding restaurant-plus-picturesque-village. Belcastel is tiny, so one can walk end-to-end in about 25 minutes.
In our opinion, its sole restaurant is worth crossing an ocean for--the quintessential French food fantasy.
Have a great trip.
I am done. The end.
