Three Days in Lyon before cycling to Nice.

I am planning my next “Once in a lifetime cycling tour of France;” this time Lyon to Nice then to San Reno, Italia.
I plan to spend three days in Lyon enjoy sights and food.
Any out of the way “must see place or events” and suggested places to dine?

It's a bit tough, when considering a question floating unmoored in time such as yours, to answer a question about events, which are, pretty much by definition, fixed in time.

Is your question about "out of the way" places in Lyon, in Sanremo, or somewhere in between?
