A few years ago my husband and I stayed on the Ile St. Louis and loved the central location......we like walking everywhere so it was a wonderful spot for all we like to do.......people watching from the gardens behind Notre Dame, sitting in a sidewalk cafe on the Ile St. Louis and watching the Seine go by.........if we are planning a trip back to Paris next May should we book on the Ile St. Louis again?........or has the NDame fire affected pedestrian traffic across the bridge from island to island? How much of Notre Dame has been closed off since the fire? We also love the Marais and even thought of trying St. Germain for a change.........
Would appreciate your thoughts!

There are some streets blocked but I think they are easy to get around. It may be sad to think of the fire everyday though.
