TGV ticket purchase for middle of July

I am trying to purchase 2 roundtrip tickets, for a day trip, from Paris to Reims, and the SNCF website is telling me that I am trying too soon; as they don't sell tickets more than 90 days in advance. Yet, my travel dates in under 90 days away.

What could I be doing wrong?

I am not the expert on this but recently was trying to purchase a train ticket from Paris and having difficulty with the same thing. I went to Man in Seat 61 and then also remembered both he and other forum members recommend CapitaneTrain (or maybe it's just CapitanTrain now??) and was able to purchase right away.

Good luck!

If you haven't already, try breaking it up and booking each leg separately. There's no roundtrip discount.

Also, TGV made changes to all of their price structures on May 1 and some web sites are still catching up.

The French train schedules change every year in mid-June and this can often lead to a delay in fares becoming available. Keep trying.

Word on the train/scheduling:

"Generally, trains in France can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure. However, with regard to the direct trains between Paris and Reims or Champagne-Ardenne, the national rail network of France has not yet enabled ticket purchases for dates after July 2nd. We'd expect them to make these tickets available very soon, probably within the next 2 or 3 weeks. Until they do, you can use an earlier date, some time in May or June, in order to get an idea of the ticket costs and schedules for trains on this route. You'll be able to purchase your tickets once the direct trains display for the actual date you'll be traveling. "

Earlier this week I was on the SNCF site and was able to book PREM tickets for a TGV train from Paris to Reims for August 21. Rail Europe and TGV-Europe did not notify me about the sale even though I signed up for notification on both sites. All tickets on the train were supposedly TGV PREMS.
