Hi Pauline,
Frequency of direct trains and trains with transfers en route depends on the time of year. Both are offered on this route.
The Aix-en-Provence TGV station is about a kilometer out of town, with a frequent shuttle bus into the town center.
ouisncf.com and trainline.com are two sites where you can add your dates to see all the options including transfer points.
