I am booking tickets belatedly for a one-way trip from Avignon to Paris on July 1. The cost of the ticket is about 250 Euros. I am seeing an option for Avignon to Marne la Vallee Chessy, which I believe is the Disneyland TGV station, for about a third of that. How difficult would it be to go the Marne station and then take a train local train into Paris? Is the local train frequent and inexpensive? Many thanks in advance. I'm usually a better researcher!
What website are you looking at? I just looked at loco2.com and it is showing much cheaper fares for July 1st.
I was on the sncf site. I will check out your link! Thanks.
Of course, I was only looking for a "ticket" - not "tickets".
OMG - I just realized that the prices I saw were for two tickets! Not one. I am an idiot. Thank you for helping me come to that realization!!!
You're not an idiot. I'm always surprised when someone mentions that policy here. The only reason it hasn't caught me is that I'm usually traveling solo.
Thanks again for engaging. We're all set.
