TER trains in France -- are tickets flexible?

For regional TER trains on the SNCF network in France, are ticketed departure times flexible? I know on the regionale trains in Italy, this is the case -- you can take a train on the same route within three hours of original departure time. Can you take a later TER train in France if you have a ticket for an earlier one?

You can travel on a TER train other than the one indicated on the ticket but on the same day and for the same journey.
