Teen on an April trip

What is the likelihood of there being teens on a trip in April? Will the regular tour include enough to keep a 14 year old engaged? We are thinking of the Paris 7 day trip.

which tour..

If its a RS tour you can usually phone them and they will tell you if there are other children booked on it.. they did for me, they wouldnt release names , or ages, but they did tell me there were 14 children booked on a Family Europe tour I took years ago.

I think most kids would enjoy a RS tour to europe , they are lighthearted fun, not boring death slogs.. but I can understand it would be more fun if there are a few other kids in the group.

Hard to say but I'd wager that chances may be slimmer than not simply because April is still within the school year. April is also pretty late for most Spring Breaks. Doesn't mean that your teen wouldn't have a perfectly good time, though.

Editing as you've since updated your post with the exact tour...

The itinerary published is fairly descriptive so if he enjoys history, art and architecture, he'd likely find the tour engaging. It would probably be helpful if your family did some pre-research together on the attractions you'd be seeing? Reading up and browsing photos on the places I'll be going to always makes me excited about GETTING there! :O)

Maybe let your teen pick something he would like to see or do on one of the free-time afternoons?

The RS forum folks are a lively bunch so I'm betting that even if he ends up being the only teen, he won't lack for attention and will be cheerfully welcomed into the "No Grumps!" group.

My guess is pretty low as it is after Spring break and before school lets out.

We took the Best of London tour this summer. Unlike the other tours, city tours do not have a lot of down time (no long bus rides) and that made for less socialization. And, it's only a week. If your teen is excited about going to Paris and feels comfortable in the presence of adults he/she should do fine.

With 'spring break' being a movable event, hard to say what the odds are for whatever week in April you are going.

If your teen engages in the outside world at home ( i.e., not looking at phone every waking hour) then the tour should keep him/her engaged

I did the RS Rome tour several years ago in April right before Easter (spring break for some), and there were five teenagers and four 20-somethings. The city tours have quite a bit of independent time. I think your teen will have a good time.
