Tea at Musee D'Orsay Restaurant

Can anyone tell me if I can go for Tea Time at the beautiful restaurant at Orsay or must I order a full meal? Thanks

Jean,
We had a light lunch in the cafeteria where the big clock is. My impression is that you can sit at a table and order whatever you want - even if it's just a drink or small snack as we did. But perhaps you are referring to another restaurant in the Orsay.

The restaurant is so beautiful and the service so wonderful, I don't wonder you want to eat there. However, as far as I can see from the menu on the official website, afternoon tea is not at all mentioned. If you can possibly manage it, though, do have lunch there. Well worth it. Look at the menu on line.

We went there while visiting The Orsay. Everyone in our party had a drink of some type and 2 of us shared a cheese plate. It wasn't a full meal by any means. It was truly a beautiful place to take a break.

Follow this link to the museum's description of its restaurants and cafes. There is a link on each page for their respective menus. We've eaten lightly at the fancy guilded one and the more casual one by the impressionist rooms on several occasions. Quite a nice experience no matter which one you choose. IF you do go to the one near the impressionist rooms be sure to go out on the rooftop if it is open (weather permitting)!
