I am staying in Saint Malo and will be having dinner one night about half an hour away at Le Coquillage (a bit south of Cancale). I'd also like to go to Cancale. I asked both my hotel and the hotel where Le Coquillage is about transportation. My hotel said ask the restaurant to arrange a taxi. The restaurant sent the phone number and first name of a guy and said I should call him, which feels a little confusing. Like, first of all, I wouldn't even know what time to tell him that we were leaving after dinner. Any thoughts on this? While I will have a car, I will have a zero alcohol policy for driving it, and would prefer to have some wine at a dinner like this.
