Do taxis at CDG accept credit cards?
yes, and they're required to.
Just remember to get in the official Paris taxi line at CDG; follow the signs. Don't let anyone who tries to intercept you on the way to the line, sway you. The line moves very quickly. The rate is set price from CDG depending on right or left bank destination. The taxi's take credit cards. (I didn't take one taxi ride in Paris this past spring, where cash even seemed a consideration.
Just because they must doesn't mean they do. Show your card and get ascent before they get in. Plenty of cabbies will claim the machine is broken and then offer to take you to an ATM.
I'm with jane, I've had experiences where the card reader "couldn't read my card" so I had to keep offering new ones until for some reason one would take. Never had to do the ATM routine.
And beware that in Paris the taxis are regular passenger cars so there is limited space for people and luggage. Unlike London where the black cabs really are like moving vans.
I do as Janet does. I hold up my CC or phone as the driver is loading my bag. I ask OK for the CC or say ApplePay if I’m using that. I also hand the driver a 3x5 card with my hotel name/address printed on it and the fixed rate taxi fare to the Left Bank (where I usually stay) written beside it. No confusion on their part!
Have a wonderful time in Paris!!
Yes they accept them, and I disagree that you need to ask first. Simply tell them it is credit card or nothing, and suddenly their credit card machine will work just fine. It is the law, they know it, and you just have to call their bluff if they try to be dishonest.

But see? I don't want things to ever get to that point where I have to call someone's bluff. I want my stand out of the way first so they know I know, blah blah.
