Taxi to Senlis from CDG

Hello there,

From the airport, we are going to Senlis (highly recommended on this forum!) to regroup after our long flight and I am wondering if it will be a problem to get a taxi from CDG to Senlis (about 25" north of CDG). The reason I ask is because I know some drivers in some US cities can be prickly about taking you places where they can't be assured a fare on the way back.

Would it be better to prearrange with a car service like G7? Thanks advance!

My dad used to travel a lot for business and often went to out of the way places, his solution was to always offer the cabbie twice the meter

There is no need to "offer" anything to the driver: there are special "C" and "D" fares for out-of-region trips, and they are basically double the base fare. At the start of the official taxi line at CDG, there are two lines: one for taxis to the Paris area, and one for "banlieue" (suburban) taxis. A dispatcher should be present, just tell them where you go; you should be ushered to the Banlieue line. Edited to add that Senlis is outside the suburban taxi zone, but is not that far, I wouldn't see why a taxi driver would decline it.

Alternatively: ask your hotel in Senlis if they have a recommended car service.

Thank you for the responses–I appreciate it. Good to know about the non-Paris taxi line an that there will likely be a dispatcher present.
