Taxi service in Paris that I can book in advance?

I'm taking a morning flight and plan to head to the airport around 6 AM.

Since Uber might not be available at that time, are there any taxi companies I can book in advance?

Yes. I use the G7 app to book a taxi to the airport. It's a flat rate depending on whether you are starting on the Right or Left bank + a 7E charge for pre-booking. I've had excellent luck with them being on time or actually always about 5 minutes early.

Rest assured, there will be taxis available at 6am, as that is prime time for international arrivals from the west. However, if you don't mind adding another app and including your credit card information on it, the G7 app is the way to go. In addition, you can use it while in Paris.

And be sure to book two days ahead, not the day before. Sometimes one day ahead isn’t time enough. But G7 is perfectly reliable, as said.

Let me second 2 days ahead -- we learned this the hard way when G7 had no availability for the airport the next day.

As everyone has said - G7, booked at least a couple of days in advance. Use their English-speaking number, or their app. Fixed rate will be €63 from Right Bank or 72€ from Left Bank (that includes the 7-euro fee to book in advance).

Yes on G7 and they've always showed up 5 min. early. So I make sure I am outside waiting.

There is no reason to use another service like Welcome Pickups (which i have never heard of, and I have been living in Paris for 19 years).

Just follow everyone's advice to use G7 to be sure you get the fixed rate tariff for the trip to the airport and aren't paying extra for “special” service.

(I realize OP may have already made their trip; adding this note for anyone else who runs across this thread in the future.)

Kim, A Parisian recommended welcome pickups to me. My round trip to CDG and Paris was 70 euros each way. Easy website and easy app.

Anyone can use what they want, but it’s nice to know what options exist so a choice can be made. Isn’t that the point of a discussion board?

Yes, but I will never understand recommending a more expensive service to people when the one recommended is reliable and costs less.

But by all means, feel free to continue suggesting more expensive options !

How much does G7 typically run to say Montparnasse train station area? And the other service?

@Suz - if you are asking the flat fare from CDG to the Gare Montparnasse area it’s 65 €. No tip needed. You can use a credit card or Apple/Google Pay.

You will go to the official taxi line and the line manager will point you to a cab. It might be a G7 or it might be another company. The flat fare is for every taxi in the line.
