Our return flight from Nice airport is at 0645.
Does anyone have suggestions for a reliable Taxi at such an early hour?

Your hotel should be able to arrange an early morning taxi pick up for you. Ask them the day before.
I needed a taxi to the train station for early the next morning and the hotel arranged it without problems.

WE used Uber. Scheduled the night before. No issues at all.

Thanks for your replies.
We scheduled a taxi and found out that there is a fixed price of 32Euro between downtown Nice and the airport.
