taxi from Uzes to Nimes and Pont du Gard to Avignon

My husband and I will be in Provence in April, and I'm wondering what a taxi ride would cost (approximately) from Uzes to Nimes and Pont du Gard to Avignon? We are trying to squeeze in half-day visits from Arles to Nimes and Uzes on one day, and from Arles to Avignon and Pont du Gard on another day. We can take a train or bus for most of the legs on those trips, but also want to use cabs in order to have more time in each place.

I don't know the exact answer but if no one with specific knowledge answers, you can get a rough estimate by taking 2.75 euros and adding to it the number of kilometers of the trip multiplied by 1.5 euros per kilometer traveled (plus tolls). You can get distance and the amount for tolls at www.viamichelin.com. And you should not be surprised if the price is doubled because the taxi service may charge you for the trip back to its home city.

Linda,

You can get an idea of how long a taxi ride will take & how much it will cost you on this website:
http://www.rome2rio.com

Just type the names of your destinations & you can see all your travel options.

It's very easy to travel by train from Arles to Avignon.

According to rome2rio, it will be expensive to do these half-day trips!

If you care to rework your plan, the bus from Nimes to Pont du Gard is less than an hour, cost about $2 each way. From Avignon, it's a bit longer bus ride plus a walk of 1.6 miles.

Thanks everyone for your valuable input! I will check out the links for taxi info. We are going to try to do the trips by public transportation only, but depending on the bus/train schedules on the days we go, we may also need to use a taxi to get back to Arles which is our home base.. Nimes to Pont du Gard and Nimes to Uzes have good public transport options. I guess we'll squeeze in a few hours in Avignon on another day while we are still in Arles.
